My take:

Ella, the hostess, was affable until the fashion show and she broke under pressure when the models didn’t change into their second choice as quick as she had wanted or hoped. Then again, there were two interns (one of which, was me) there to help zip and unzip the girls and she needn’t be so bossy. Otherwise, she gave me some liberty with Patricia’s makeup (which was Ella’s personal stash of Chanel, Lancome, and Dior brands, damn) and I was totally fine with that.

Danny basically handed Abeer and I all the workload for styling the models (some of who were improvised), making the calls for the walk, and the general organization of it all (with Ella’s help, since it was her gala) while this DICK and all his dickery came late with his date and took all the credit, sat back, and let it all unwind.

The models were Melissa, Lindey, Taylor, Tori, Amira, Patricia, Uli, and Marcella. Uli and Marcella were the improvisations, since one called in sick and the other two were beyond late (the gala was supposed to start at 9, and ended up AED-ing itself at 10). Of all of them, Lindey and Marcella and Patricia didn’t break a sweat (or moan, or flinch, or groan while speeding out of their dresses) and Marcella took the lead as the first model on the walk. Melissa has a sunny attitude but she’s also the smallest of them all and Ella kept bossin’ her around ‘n shiz and I didn’t take too kindly on it. 

THIS WAS LIKE STAGE MANAGING THEATER ALL OVER AGAIN—but without the acting or the lines or the blocking or character development, and it was really fun for the while (until Danny and I kept calling each other assholes because he did nothing and I wanted to film the walk) so yeah I could see myself doing this for a few years.
